Read this section1. Establish goals and constraints
Review the business model, customers, economics and capacity. For B2B, include the sales process and qualification. For ecommerce, stock, margin and repeat purchases may be critical. Agree what needs improving and what the work depends on.
2. Arrange access and check data
Arrange access to the agreed platforms. Check measurement and integrations and document the baseline. Missing access or unreliable data may change the sequence of work; the plan should reflect that.
3. Prioritise initial changes
Choose work based on expected importance, confidence in the evidence and effort. This may be a measurement issue, a weak landing page or a missing flow. Make responsibilities, dependencies and success criteria explicit.
4. Review using consistent definitions
The first month closes with a review of completed work, open questions and next priorities. Early signals are not necessarily proven effects. Sales cycles, data volume and seasonality determine when an evaluation is meaningful.
