Confirm ownership first

List advertising accounts, analytics, email platforms, domains, feeds and integrations. Check that your business has the required administrator access. Use platform roles instead of sharing personal passwords.

Preserve history and active journeys

A handover is not itself a reason to create new accounts or stop working flows. Collect change history, tests, measurement definitions and assets. Document active campaigns and automations and who monitors them during the transition.

Check measurement before making changes

Review events, conversion values, consent, integrations and reports. Agree a baseline with consistent periods and definitions. Otherwise a change in measurement can resemble an improvement or decline unrelated to advertising.

Agree the sequence

Set handover dates, contacts and initial priorities. Remove previous access once the handover has been checked. At Oaksmond, we use the history to inform decisions and assess changes before building on the setup.
